Warm welcome. Spacious dining area and great food served. Tasty scampi and fabulous (and huge) fish. Large garden and plenty of seating outside. Blue Anchor ale was nice. Very near Great Comp gardens.
Food was fantastic and friendly service! We had a lunch, it was two course only 9.95 Very spacious terrace. Nice to dine outside when the weather is nice. Highly recommend!
Was recommended this pub for a Santa Claus visit for my children by my next door neighbour, his daughter owns the pub. I have to say they were incredibly accommodating, Santa was magical, the children had the best time, the food was absolutely incredible (portion sizes are very big) we had a really lovely time and will 1000% be returning.
Lovely Sunday dinner, food was lovely, food portions were brilliant, atmosphere was welcoming friendly staff, we will be returning in the new year! Also booked Christmas next year
Top class food. Friendly staff. Great pub to visit.
Had a great time at the blue Anchor the meal was fantastic and the staff were brilliant i would highly recommend it seeing as it was the first time we had been there hope to be back very soon
Our friend recommended coming to this place (because they enjoyed it) & said for us to have the sharing platter (as it was very yummy & freshly made). Me & my fiance both thought it was a lovely place with a nice big back garden, the service was great & friendly & we really enjoyed our meal... it was delicious & it certainly filled us up & it was worth the total price 38 that was including 2 alcoholic drinks. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you x
The Blue Anchor is a Green King pub tucked away in a residential area. Have been going there whenever I am in that part of the world. There is character and the decor is awesome with some amazing quotes that make me chuckle every time. The food is amazing I have sampled nearly the entire menu but favourites are the burgers and all day breakfast as you can see from the photos. The facilities are really clean. The staff are gems and always ready to make your day better. Go and check them out today
